Hello again! The following poem was written for a school test that never got carried out, so I thought I would share it with readers here. It's basically the bare bones of my life story, squeezed down into a few verses!
I took my mind a walk
And saw a screaming face
And then a newborn crooked smile
Every feature in place.
I took my mind a walk
The baby is now two.
She takes one step across the grass
And Mum buys baby shoes.
I took my mind a walk
Now Girl's first day at school
Clutching a bag she walks inside
Not crying, she's no fool.
I took my mind a walk
Girl's family has to move
But a new school's a new game to play
And she's not gonna lose.
I took my mind a walk
Girl's made it to Year Six
She's invited to a basketball camp
And suddenly, she's fixed.
I took my mind a walk
Secondary school's here
Girl shakes off all her worries
But not quite all her fear.
I took my mind a walk,
But teacher shouts "Emily!"
Girl snaps back to the present
Girl? Oh yeah, she's me.
See you tomorrow!!!!!
